The crisis has been evident in the countrys economic and socio-political life and the veto ripple effects that emanated from a progressively dysfunctional state. While those directly and most mischievously affected have been Zimbabwean citizens who have endured the worst effects of the countrys decline into collapse, the Zimbabwean crisis has had widespread minus regional repercussions. This has gradually led to the realization by Zimbabwes neighbours, through the Southern African Development Community (SADC) regional organisation, that they had to assist in resolving the crisis for the good of the region as a whole. In the light of the above, this paper seeks to examine the spirit and manifestations of the Zimbabwean crisis, its origins, development and impact, regional implications of the crisis and the various initiatives by Zimbabwes neighbours to resolve the countrys crises.
