Bergman groom for Wigand to be interviewed by a journalist named Michael Wallace for an exposé on the fundament industry, even though Wigand was still bound by a confidentiality agreement not to dis course his involvement with the company. Despite Wigands willingness to talk, CBS was cause to pull his interview at the last minute; overdue to a multi-billion dollar lawsuit threatened by dark-brown and Williamson. The staff of 60 Minutes and CBS News soon embarked in an internal struggle over the story, and Wigand found himself at the headway of lawsuits and a smear campaign, without his full story ever arriver the public. I believe that sometimes whistle blowing is necessary. In this case, I think that Wigand was in the right.
